染谷悠子展　Yuko Someya

染谷悠子は1980年千葉県生まれ。2006年、東京藝術大学大学院版画専攻修了。2004年町田市立国際版画美術館の全国大学版画展で、収蔵賞／観客賞を受賞し、作品が収蔵されました。染谷は「言葉を綴るように、鉛筆を動かしていく」と語り、花や鳥、樹木、動物のモチーフを繊細な筆致と色彩で描きます。それらのモチーフは画面の十分な余白により浮遊感を与えられ、それらが紡ぐ物語、そしてその続きへと、鑑賞者を誘うかのように強い輝きを放っています。また版画の手法で色をつけられ、画面に重ねられた和紙が生み出す独特な透明感のある色彩と質感も魅力です。 さらに詳しいアーティスト情報は以下のリンクよりご覧下さい。 http://www.tomiokoyamagallery.com/artists/someya/ Yuko Someya was born in 1980 in Chiba. She completed her Master's degree at Tokyo University of Arts, Department of Art, Printmaking in 2006. She received awards for her work at Machida City Museum of Graphic Arts, Tokyo in 2004 and her works were collected by the museum. "I move my pencil as if I was spelling a word," Someya says of her works, drawing and coloring motifs such as flowers, birds, plants, and animals intricately. The paintings often embrace plenty of blank spaces, which gives motifs the sense of floating, and they start sparkling as if they are inviting the viewers to the stories, and the continuances of them. Her specialized method using ink and the distinctive transparency in color and texture created by washi paper are also attractive. This is the third show of young Japanese artists series.
